León, Gto., December 4, 2017.-  The University of Guanajuato (UG) will offer for the first time, the Master degree in Organizational Development under the multimodal educational system with the intercampus collaboration of Guanajuato and León.

In a press conference, Dr. Carlos Hidalgo Valadez, Rector of Campus León of UG, mentioned the importance to take education to every part of the state of Guanajuato.

He said that the city of León is an important niche to establish strategic alliances in topics of business and organizations. "One of the greatest advantages of the multimodality, is to increase the coverage of the university with different academic and administrative strategies."

Dr. Claudia Susana Gómez López, Director of the Division of Economic and Administrative Sciences of Campus Guanajuato, referred that they pretend to not only offer this postgraduate, but work from this moment on, so on May, we can open two more programs: The Master degree in Fiscal and the Master in Management with the Southern Oregon University (SOU), which will allow the double degree through a semi-physical program.

She informed that there is a possibility for this postgraduate to be coursed online in approximately two years. She added that whoever is interested in entering, they could do so until January 5th, 2018 through the website www.ugto.mx/admision

Dr. Gómez emphasized in the academic quality of this master degree since it is in the Level I of the Interinstitutional Committees for the Evaluation of Higher Education (CIEES) which ensures the quality of the professors, syllabuses and degree obtaining processes, "this gives us an competitive advantage in the region, León (...) is much more than the center of Guanajuato in businesses, services and industry."

Finally, M. Roberto José Muñoz Mujica, Chief of the Department of Distance Education, highlighted that with this system they pretend to make the spaces and resources efficient through academic-technological strategies.

He indicated that this will allow the students to decide the modalities they desire to course, of a same educational program, at the same time. Among the benefits that he mentioned, is that the students can decide the best way to interact with their academic load and incorporate resources and actors.

The Master degree in Organizational Development will begin on Saturday, January 20, 2018, in the venue Campestre I of Campus León, located in Lomas del Bosque 103, Lomas del Campestre. More information in www.ugto.mx/admison
