Guanajuato, Gto., December 4, 2017.- The University of Guanajuato (UG), besides having for the first time, a stand in the International Book Fair of Guadalajara (FIL), had a series of editorial presentations of their most recent archive with renowned authors and researchers.
Organized by UG's Editorial Coordination, UG exhibited the most relevant of its catalogue and showed the public their different collections of books, periodical publications and editorial novelties.
Together with "Ediciones La Rana", at the Fondo Guanajuato pavilion –and within a nurtured activity program—, there were five editorial presentations from authors/researchers of the University of Guanajuato.
On the opening day, November 25th, Dr. Leandro Eduardo Astrain Bañuelos, with commentaries from the doctors Rubén Díaz López and Marvin Alfredo Gómez Ruiz, presented the book "El derecho penal del enemigo en un estado constitucional: especial referencia en México." The next day, they showed the new volume of the Masterclass José Revueltas titled "El dispositivo Sexo-género" by Dr. Cuauhtémoc Nattahí Hernández Martínez, with comments of Dr. Elba Sánchez Rolón, and where they spoke about the philosophical exploration consistent in sustaining the posture that the sex-gender system has been and is a historical device of power.
In addition, on November 26, they presented the collection "Cocodrilos" with the book "Un Mundo Extraño de Oliverio Macías", presented and commented by the poet, Ángel Ortuño; the second weekend, on December 2, the doctors Asunción Rangel, Liliana Martínez and Ramón Bárcenas presented the collection "Pequeña Galería del Pensamiento" and "Pequeña Galería de la Cinematografía" that was very accepted through the FIL.
To finalize, on Sunday December 3, the last day of activities, Loreine Jiménez Moedano, David Eudave and the anthologist Alejandro García, presented "Primera llama(ra)da. Obras seleccionadas de la Primera Muestra Regional de Dramaturgia 2016", where they spoke several topics related with the history of dramaturgy and theatre in Guanajuato and about the relevance in which publications such as this shed a light on the writing about the theatrical ambience of the state.
It is precise to mention that, this time, Madrid said farewell to the 31st FIL and passed the relay as a guest of honor to Portugal. Languages such as music, movies, theatre and, of course, the literature of Portugal, will be appreciated in the 32nd edition of the FIL which will take place from November 24 to December 2, 2018.
