Guanajuato, Gto., December 13, 2017.- Students of HS Salvatierra represented the state of Guanajuato and the University of Guanajuato (UG) in the 2017 National ExpoSciences.

The students Luis Giovanni Echeverría Herman, David Leonel Vaca Cruz and Cosette Durán Castillo, in coordination with their advisor, M. Guillermo Caballero Tinajero, the showed the project "Ecoclick" in Baja California.

The latter, for obtaining the gold medal in the past EspoSciences Guanajuato 2017, reason why they created the state delegation to participate in this national event.

"Ecoclick", addresses the topics of the digital technologies that allow to introduce deep changes in education. The starting point was the idea the current technology is still primitive in the usefulness for pedagogy. However, even if it is in a primitive stage of digital technology, it can introduce deep changes in teaching, only if develops an adequate pedagogy in the digital era with a social and inclusive dimension.

Regarding ExpoSciences, it is an event of international reach, renowned by the International Movement for the Scientific and Technical Recreation (MILSET) that has the purpose to promote the participation of childhood and youth through science and technical projects, research, innovation or/and divulgation; also, allowing the participation of institutions and companies in education, as well as divulgators and professors. The annual program for ExpoSciences is composed by several activities such as cultural, scientific and recreational visits, projects expos, workshops, animation and conferences.

In Mexico, 2017 National ExpoSciences is the select event of the National Network of Youth Activities in Science and Technology where the projects are qualified for their quality and relevance by an Evaluating Committee; obtaining accreditations to be part of the Mexican Delegations who will participate in international youth science events in 2018: ExpoSciences Latin America ESI AMLAT 2018, which will be held in Antofagasta, Chile; Mostratec in Novo Hamburgo, Brazil; Genius Olympiad in New York, US, among many others.

It is important to mention that the National ExpoSciences selects the project with the highest score for its evaluation to participate as the only Latin American youth representative in the Stockholm International Youth Science Seminar (SIYSS) which is developed at the same time as the Nobel Awards in Stockholm, Sweden
