
Guanajuato, Gto., January 12, 2018.- The short film "Que sean verdad los cuentos" created by the graduate of the University of Guanajuato (UG), Bernardo Govea and the director Laura Zacanini, will premiere on the next Saturday January 27 at 10:00hrs in a known movie theater in the city of León, Guanajuato.
The graduate of the degree in Spanish Languages has several years developing his work in cinematography by writing scripts and directing short films.
This time, the interested spectators in the contemporary cinema and local production can go and watch the short film, which tells the story about Gregorio, a 6-year-old convinced that he will become rich very soon.
With this hope, the kid promises his grandfather a new radio, a desk to his father, and a real astronaut suit to his mother. But Gregorio ignores what really happens with his family.
This cinematographic production with splashes of fantasy and illusion was made with financing of the Cultural Institute of León within the support program for artistic creations. The actors who portray the characters are: Leonardo Gonzáles Ortiz, Luisa Aguilar, Steve Perales and Antonio Me. Coppola.
In addition of the graduate's short film, UG will also present three proposals from local creators: "Almohada de plumas" by Rodrigo Barquera, "Extracción crisálida" by Paco Loza and "Desde el fondo" by Arturo Pons.
It is precise to mention that Bernardo Govea –besides being an oral and scenic narrator—has also been the director and script writer of the short film "¿Y si gritamos poquito? (2014) with an Honorable mention in the Festival Ay Guana Shorts 2015; it was part of the official selection at the XVIII Film Festival Faludi Nemzetközi Amatőrfilmszemle in Budapest, Hungary 2014, and of the III Festival of Paracho, Michoacán in September 2015.
He is also the director and script writer of the short film "Música para despertar dragones" and co-script writer of the short film "Mariposa" which was selected for the festivals: Riviera Maya Underground 2011, International Short Film Festival Cusco, Peru 2011, World Kids International 2011 and Cineseptiembre 2011.
