León, Gto., January 17, 2018.- Since 1945, the University of Guanajuato (UG) in León has a great transcendence in the formation of competitive surgeons, provided with a high capability to give to people a humane attention.

About this transcendence, Dr. Pablo Campos Macías, Director of the Department of Medicine and Nutrition, mentioned in an interview about the work he makes with other health professionals and "a work team is created where the knowledge is enriched and favors the comprehensive attention to the population, work with basic principles to know how to maintain health and prevent illnesses."

The latter minutes before the closing ceremony where they handed 89 students their certificate which qualifies them as graduates of this educational program that reaches the sixty-ninth generation.

At the ceremony, Dr. Carlos Hidalgo Valadez, Rector of Campus León, thanked the families for their trust on the institution and invited the new doctors to make their job with professionalism and start actions that allow to improve the quality of life of the population.

"You become the last line of defense in health, you are the difference for someone between the wellbeing and sickness, you are that today", he mentioned.

The graduate Abigail Adriana Mosqueda Vega, expressed her satisfaction for being part of UG since it is a national referent in forming professionals in this area, plus she emphasized on the opportunity she had to make an internship in China that allowed her to know work and structure of the health sector in that country, learn their culture and implement strategies that contribute to the prevention of health in the country.

At the event were present: Dr. Lorena del Carmen Álvarez Castañon, Academic Secretary of Campus León; Dr. Tonatiuh García Campos, Director of the Division of Health Sciences; Dr. Elia Lara Lona, Coordinator of the Medical Surgeon degree and Dr. Carlos Acosta Martínez, Coordinator of the Phase III of the educational program.
