llegan-estudiantes-de-intercambio-al-campus-leon-de-la-ug-ugtoLeón, Gto., January 18, 2017.- Juan Felipe Gómez, a student from the University of Santo Tomás, Campus Bogotá, Colombia, will make an academic exchange at the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities of the University of Guanajuato (UG) Campus León.

During the first semester of this year, he seeks to reinforce his knowledge, know about the culture of the country and share points of view with the students who are studying Psychology. "The cultural pluralism that one will find in the classrooms must make you grow as a person, have other points of view, other knowledge, other forms to build realities", he mentioned.

Diana Giovana Tapia Patiño comes from the Republic of Peru of the Universidad Continental to study the program of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation and develop her knowledge in research with the purpose to know how professors and students work. "I know that the teaching here is very good, same as in my university" to what she added that the mobility experience is unforgettable and must be used for personal and professional formation.

They shared this during the welcome event for fifteen students of educational institutions from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, as well as from other states such as Jalisco, San Luis Potosí, Puebla, Mexico City, Chihuahua and Zacatecas; who are in an academic internship at Campus León in bachelor and postgraduate educational programs.

In the act, Dr. Lorena del Carmen Álvarez Castañon, Academic Secretary of Campus León; Dr. Alex Ricardo Caldera Ortega, Director of the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities; Dr. David Yves Ghislain Delepine, Director of the Division of Sciences and Engineering; Dr. Tonatiuh García Campos, Director of the Division of Health Sciences, and M. Juan Carlos Mora Hernández, General Coordinator of Academic Development; welcomed the young students who are now part of the UG community.

Simultaneously, 167 new students were received at the Division of Health Sciences where Dr. Carlos Hidalgo Valdez, Rector of Campus León, mentioned the commitment the University has, to continue forming competitive professionals at the service of society.

He emphasized on the opportunity the students will have to interact with high quality and prestige scholars who placed the institution as one of the best internationally and nationally. Also, he highlighted that they will have access to laboratories where they can do research, as well as to participate in activities that favor their comprehensive formation and interact with students from other educational programs which will strengthen their knowledge.

Dr. Tonatiuh García Campos, Director of the Division of Health Sciences, invited all the new members in health to "live the experience in a positive way and follow the path to reach a valuable goal since it influences in their personal and academic trajectory, and in which you are responsible for maintaining the quality of which the institution has been recognized", he finalized.
