Guanajuato, Gto., January 18, 2018.- A total of 391 new students enrolled in six programs at the Division of Economic Administrative Sciences (DCEA) of Campus Guanajuato of the University of Guanajuato (UG) for the term January – June 2018.

DCEA's Director, Dr. Claudia Susana Gómez López, gave a warm welcome to the young students who, with their parents, went to the Induction Journey given at the beginning of each term to new enrollment students, where they know the general aspects of the educational institution that they are now part of.

They receive information about specific aspects about academic, administrative and comprehensive development topics that the student has in the Campus and the Division; with this, they promote integration, university identity and enthusiasm for their future in achieving their objectives in the University of Guanajuato.

Dr. Gómez López said to be proud for receiving the 391 students for six bachelor degree programs at DCEA: 12 for the degree in Information Systems Administration; 50 for the degree in Management of Quality and Productivity; 35 for the degree in Touristic Resources Management; 125 for the degree in International Trade; 57 resources for the degree in Public Accounting; and 112 for the degree in Industrial Relationships.

"You have come to the largest division of the University of Guanajuato", said the Director, with more than 3,000 students, 250 professors who are truly committed and at least 100 administrative assistants that give their best effort to the students.

She let them know that they enrolled to six programs that are known for its quality, so she asked them to take the opportunity of being in a higher education institution, "a privilege that not everyone has", and exhorted them start forging their future.

M. Gabriel Alejandro Andreu de Riquer, General Coordinator of Academic Development, representing Dr. Teresita de Jesús Rendón Huerta Barrera, Rector of Campus Guanajuato, also welcomed the new students and who now belong to the biggest educational project in the state.

He is confident that each one of them, are known for their commitment and perseverance, and everyone, one way or another, have faced economic, cultural, health or family adversities, "and have overcame and with the desire to be part of UG you are here, with your families", to whom he asked to recognize all the support from their parents, sponsors and friends.

It is worthy to mention that Induction Journeys for new students to DCEA's programs have occurred since August 2009, seeking the integration of the students to their academic program and a Division, so the student is informed and has elements to make better choices in their university trajectory.

At the ceremony, were also present: Dr. Claudia Gutiérrez Padilla, Academic Secretary of Campus Guanajuato; Dr. Omar Jair Pirata Sifuentes, Academic Secretary of DCEA; Dr. Domingo Herrera González, Director of the Department of Organizational Studies; Dr. Héctor Fabián Gutiérrez Rangel, Director of the Department of Business Management and Direction; Dr. Alejandro Mosiño Aguilar, Director of the Department of Economy and Finance.

Also, the coordinators of the degree in Industrial Relationships, in Quality and Productivity Management, in Information Systems Administration, in Public Accounting, in International Trade and Touristic Resource Management.
