estudiantes-de-peru-brasil-y-argentina-ug-ugtoIrapuato, Gto., January 24, 2018.- Thanks to the cooperation agreements between the University of Guanajuato (UG) with different national and foreign universities, students from Argentina, France, Brazil, Colombia, Peru and Mexico will make an academic stay in Campus Irapuato-Salamanca.

For the semester January-July 2018, thirteen foreign students, and one from Universidad Veracruzana, chose the venues Irapuato or Salamanca to course the educational program of their choosing, seeking an interaction of knowledge and widen their academic and professional options.

Beatríz Alexandre Torres, of the Universidade Federal de São Carlos (Brazil), chose the venue Irapuato to study Agronomy for a semester. She mentioned that it was helpful that UG had an agreement with the university she comes from, and the coordinators motivated her to participate in the mobility program.

Maël Odonnant, of the École d'ingénieurs généralistes (France) mentioned that it is the second stay made in the Division of Engineering, to study Mechanical Engineering, an educational program that each year chooses students from his school as an option at UG.

"I was really interested in participating in a mobility in Guanajuato" expressed Lina Rocío Martínez Díaz, of the Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia, who discovered the Campus Irapuato-Salamanca thanks to her academic directors, who encouraged her to participate in this exchange modalities.

Tania Marianella Sotomayor of the Universidad de Ingeniería del Perú, will study Computing Systems Engineering thanks to the scholarship of the Pacific Alliance, which allowed her to apply for a stay in UG's venue Salamanca.

The Rector of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca, Dr. Armando Gallegos Muñoz, accompanied by the Academic Secretary of Campus, Dr. Martín Picón Núñez and the Coordinator of the Internationalization Unit, M. Liliana Llanas Reséndiz, welcomed the exchange students, to whom they invited to know other contexts and ways to think to win new knowledge.

They believe that this new experience will give them values of integration, tolerance and respect because the University of Guanajuato wants to build spaces for peace through interuniversity cooperation.
