León, Gto., January 31, 2018.- The University of Guanajuato (UG) subscribed the "Convenio Marco Consolidación Conjunto Urbano", that has the purpose to potentiate the use of the property in that zone.

Through this agreement, the signing parts commit to consolidate, administer and use a space where the venue Forum of UG's Campus León is located, the Exlpora park, the State Fair of León, the Cultural Forum and León's Poliforum; and so, use the advantage it has placed as a site with cultural, commercial, economic and touristic attractions.

During the ceremony, UG's President, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino reaffirmed the university's commitment with this project and sustained that for the institution, this represents an opportunity to provide an even greater significance to this space.

"The great projects for society are created with a shared vision", emphasized Dr. Guerrero, who celebrated the sum of will that derived in this agreement.

The Governor of the State of Guanajuato, Lic. Miguel Márquez Márquez, highlighted that this plan emerged because of the conviction of a necessary project for the city, and will include the property, so they can have a more harmonic and ordered integration; as well as to set rules for the use of common areas.

The Legal General Coordinator of Guanajuato, M. Raquel Barajas Monjarás, explained the reach the agreement had –she said—reflects the joint work between the state government, the city of León, UG and the private initiative to set the bases of an urban area, with a strategic use of the property.

To provide certainty of the fulfillment of these agreements, they agreed on creating a master plan and the constitution of a strategic council formed by those who subscribed the agreement and presided by the state governor.

At the event were present representatives from the State Government, of the city of León, the University of Guanajuato, Explora Park, León's State Fair, the Cultural Forum and the Poliforum.
