The book is authored by two distinguished professors from this university, both belonging to the national System of Researchers (SNI): Doctors Juan Gabriel Segovia Hernández and Fernando Israel Gómez Castro.

This publication was made with the support of the publishing house CRC Press, one of the most important and prestigious with international circulation, which will give the book a greater visibility to be considered in the curricula of bachelor's in chemistry worldwide and contributes to enhance the prestige of UG.

M. Gabriel Alejandro Andreu de Riquer, General Coordinator of academic Development at the Guanajuato campus, gave the professors and the DCNE, the congratulations of Dr. Teresita de Jesús Rendon Huerta Barrera, Rector of campus Guanajuato.

"This book will be a tool for the students of the division and, without a doubt, it will become a benchmark at the national level in universities and scientific research centers," said M. Andreu, who reiterated that this academic act confirms the high scientific commitment he has and UG has always expressed.

In this sense, Dr. Agustín Ramón Uribe Ramírez, Director of the DCNE, celebrated the presentation of a new textbook of two distinguished professors of the community, work that will be of great importance for the Chemical Engineering Guild, particularly for the students and not only those of this university, he foresaw, but even at the international level.

This will happen because the prestigious publisher has international circulation and will give visibility to the book around the world, which will bring many satisfactions to UG, being the authors, two excellent researchers who are very committed to the academy and Collegiate Life, coordinators of educational programs and now authors a book focused on teaching, something unusual, which makes it more meritorious.

It corresponded to Dr. José María Ponce Ortega, professor of the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo, to present the work and the previous work of the authors, professors of this university, who have published their texts in specialized magazines of broad International recognition in Processing Systems Engineering.

The presenter noted that the books in chemical engineering in Mexico, few are published by Mexican authors and in Spanish language, which does not demerit the text but does limit the audience of the same; so, by being published in English and with the chosen publisher, this book will achieve a greater diffusion.

Finally, the authors agreed that hours of work and research are worthwhile, if they manage to communicate knowledge to young students. Both thanked the authorities for their support.

Dr. Juan Gabriel Segovia Hernández, said that, in addition to the pleasure of reading, the final motivation of the author is the satisfaction of communicating to someone a knowledge, to make readers of flesh and blood know new places, new areas, new times.

"What I know I want others to know," he said, and if that is achieved, it is worth the writing hours to establish a link with the text that involves the reader intellectually and emotionally.

Similarly, Dr. Fernando Israel Gómez Castro, accepted that a textbook in chemical engineering is not so common, but in doing so he had a personal satisfaction, and agreed in the goal of serving as a source of knowledge for students.

Both professors donated both the DCNE and the Chemical Engineering department a volume of their book to form part of the division's bibliographical heritage and to serve as a consultation for the students, especially the last semesters of undergraduate, postgraduate courses in chemical engineering and professionals interested in the optimization methods applied to process engineering.

In this event were also present, Q.F.B. Alfonso Trujillo, academic secretary of the DCNE; Dr. Ignacio René Galindo Esquivel, Director of the Department of Chemical Engineering, professors and students of the Division of Natural Sciences, as well as relatives and friends of the authors of the book.
