Guanajuato, Gto., February 28, 2018.- The retired professors of the Department of Nursing and Obstetrics of the University of Guanajuato, Victoria Morán and Alba Lily Mendoza Robles have constituted an important pillar as far as the nursing studies are concerned, these have captured them in a book Called "Professional nursing for students and professionals".

This time the presentation of the fourth edition of its publication was held in which the authors were present. The event was held in the auditorium of the Department of Nursing and Obstetrics, where they met mostly students to learn the ins and outs of the book by commentators.

The President of the University of Guanajuato (UG), Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, indicated that the book is of scientific and academic content, but also with a great human sense. He emphasized that the publication is a scientific contribution that transcends the walls because it means linking the teaching and professional practice of nursing with the application of knowledge.

In addition, he emphasized that "professional nursing for students and professionals" was made with talent, passion and dedication to their vocation, qualities that characterize the authors of the book.

In this regard, the Rector of the Campus León, Dr. Carlos Hidalgo Valadez stressed that both teachers and nurses have marked the history of the department as they were committed to the service as well as to the formation of the student community.

The Director of the Department of Nursing and Obstetrics, Dr. María Teresa Hernández Ramos said that the book is a model of nursing on therapeutic interaction and patient care. He also mentioned that the publication makes a recount of the development of nursing in our country and emphasizes improving the quality in the training of people who dedicate to this branch of health.

He noted that, in the book, readers will be able to find a review of theories and models of nursing from the middle of the last century to the present time in order to take into account the importance in the training and the formal exercise of the nursing.

This work of the publishing house Trillas S.A. de C.V., gathers the experience and reflections of the authors, who have worked with professors and students of all the levels, as well as with professionals of nursing in exercise, in everything related to the process of the Patient care.

The book was elaborated with a simple and accessible language; However, the model used in this one requires a thorough understanding of the contents that are exposed, so that the reader can apply them in any area of the professional practice.

The presentation was also attended by the Director of the Division of Health Sciences, Dr. Tonatiuh García Campos and professor of the Department of Nursing and Obstetrics venue Guanajuato, M. Maria de la Luz Flores Arredondo.
