Celaya, Gto., April 17, 2018.- The creative proposals of a professor and a student of the University of Guanajuato (UG) were selected to be exhibited in the Celaya's Art Museum Octavio Ocampo, as part of the collection "Reflections", a collection of drawing, engraving, painting, sculpture, photography, object art and installations.
Dr. Cristina Margarita Gómez Sarabia, professor-researcher of the Digital Arts program at Campus Irapuato—Salamanca, is the author of "Dendritas", whose creator is the former mechatronic student Jesús Enrique Castillo Pérez.
In the installations and object art pieces was used recycle, light and movement created by electricity and a laser, as the main elements of her expression.
"In Heaven", is the proposal of Daniela Joven Pérez Lara Arredondo, a Digital Arts student, whose proposal is understood by the art made of adaptations, interpretations or modifications of ordinary objects, which usually don't have an aesthetic-artistic function, to an artistic or poetic context.
Dr. Gómez, a doctor in physics specialized in optics, explained that the collective exposition is shown in the temporary wings in the museum, as the result of the municipal government of Celaya and the Municipal System of Art and Culture of Celaya's (SISMACC) summon, who selected among 299 works from 13 cities throughout the state.
Juries sent by the National Fund for Culture and Arts (FONCA) of the Creators Program in the states, selected 60 pieces from 49 artists from different careers and are now exhibited in the expo.
This expo inaugurated the art venue, which will exhibit the collection "Reflections" during April until June 20th, 2018, hence, the professor invites everyone to know this space of creativity and art.
It is important to mention that Dr. Gómez has taken her work to different cultural venues in Mexico and abroad, being acknowledged for her creative talent and innovative proposals. Her enthusiasm to create and propose has permeated her students who now are joining her different projects.
