Guanajuato, Gto., April 20, 2018.- Three rugby teams of the University of Guanajuato classified to the National Olympiad that will be held in the city of Chihuahua, Chih.

After their participation in the sport jousts of the Rugby Classifying Tourney for the 2018 National Olympics and the Juvenile National Tournament, in which the state teams obtained the pass for the National Olympics.

Our state, as usual, participated in the tournament with three teams in the categories M16 Male and M19 Female and Male, where the students from HS Pénjamo and HS Guanajuato played an important role.

During the classifying stage, the teams had an outstanding participation against the states of Mexico, Puebla & Coahuila, which allowed them to obtain the pass to the National Olympics, since last year they finished fourth in the female category.

The students who will represent the state are: Marín Cortes Brenda, Castañeda Alva Alhondra, Luna Mendoza Roció Ixchel, Medel Méndez Jacqueline Gabriela, Soto Morales Emilia Itzel, Vázquez Vázquez Norma Gabriela, Madrigal Vargas Alexa ,Moreno Felipe Diana Paola, Sánchez Paniagua Lizeth, Pérez Rodríguez Julián, Ramírez Leyva José Carlos, Sánchez Arroyo Fernando José, Lemus Pérez Carlos Antonio, Ríos Estrada José Javier, Suarez López Luis David, Medel Morales Carlos Javier, Reyes Herrera Orlando Renato, León Vega Angel Yasbir, Espinosa González Josué Abraham, Reyes Luna Alejandro, Fuentes Garcidueñas Gerardo, Rivera Martínez Juan Carlos, Sánchez Alvarado Luis Fernando, Chavoya Rojas Alejandro.

In the final stage, 8 teams were integrated by category, which will compete for 2 or 3 days in the city of Chihuahua in June.
