Guanajuato, Gto., April 24, 2018.- Two teams comprised of former students of the University of Guanajuato (UG) obtained the first and second place in the V national competition of Oral Litigation, edition Alumni, event that brought together 16 teams from different states of the country.

The first place was for the team formed by Claudia Aguilar Rangel, Israel Archundia Muro, Sergio Saucedo Sánchez, Gloria Guadalupe García Sandate, who were advised by Pedro Valdovino Caballero, who also graduated from the law degree of UG. The second place for Karla Castañeda Ornelas and lawyers of the state of Oaxaca.

The lawyer graduated from the UG Karla Castañeda Ornelas was also awarded for the best opening allegation, and to Gloria Guadalupe Garcia Sandate, for the best questioning.

There was also a special recognition for his career as an advisor of teams of oral litigation to Israel Archundia Muro, former student of the University of Guanajuato.

The event was organized by the American Bar of Lawyers ABAROLI and the National Institute of Penal Sciences (INACIPE) and summoned lawyers to apply oral litigation techniques, develop their legal theories and argumentative skills.

The competition for oral litigation was attended by lawyers graduated from universities of Guanajuato, Oaxaca, Hidalgo, Chihuahua, Morelos, Estado de México, Puebla, among others. They participated in two hearings, with roles of Prosecutor and defense, and were qualified by judges of the adversarial criminal justice system.
