salud-recreacion-y-conocimiento-ug-ugtoLeón, Guanajuato, April 27, 2018.- The 7th Forum of Sciences of Health and Physical Activity closed its activities with the sports rally and the participation certificates award ceremony of the first course of the international certification in cineantropometry Isaak level 2.

With the participation of more than 400 students from basic and high levels, there were was a rally in the venue San Carlos of Campus León of the University of Guanajuato (UG) where the students of the degree in Health and Physical Activity Sciences told the attendants the activities they would do in the fifteen stations where they tested their skills such as running, jumping, throwing, catching, coordinate movements that imply force, speed, equilibrium, alternate displacements using the right and left hand, feet, and have dynamics both in open and closed spaces.

They also motivated other actions such as socializing, integration, diminishing of stress, mental, physical and emotional health.

Dr. Karla Susana Vera Delgado, a professor-researcher at the Department of Applied Sciences to Work, mentioned in an interview that through these activities there's an approach with the population to reveal the work the students do, raise awareness about the benefits of physical activity and motivate from an early stage its practice. Likewise, she mentioned that they develop physical skills, attitudes and values which allows a better team work, communication and challenge completion.

12 people attended the international certification course in cineantropometry Isaak level 2, which allowed them to obtain more theoretical and practical tools to make anthropometric evaluations with only weight, size and other data.

On the matter, Luis Antonio Pérez Moreno, a student in the eighth semester of the degree in Health and Physical Activity Sciences highlighted the relevance of this course: "it is very important because now we can quantify how our patients are doing, and so, know if the exercise we prescribed is being efficient or not."

At the forum there were also conferences, workshops, there were free papers presented orally and in poster.

Dr. Ma. Teresa Melchor Moreno, Director of the Department of Applied Sciences to Work highlighted the participation of the students because they use the knowledge obtained and update in health topics, besides working in research projects. It is worthy to mention that the topic of the forum was the prevention of cardiopathies and sudden deaths in sports.
