
Guanajuato, Gto., April 27, 2018.- Within the Program of Reading Encouragement called "Let's celebrate reading", the University of Guanajuato (UG) will be present for the second year in a row in the National Book Fair of León (FeNaL) to be held from April 26 to May 6, 2018.
With the participation of 11 editorial presentations and a talk-homage for the 60th death anniversary of Efrén Hernández by Dr. Juan Berdeja, UG will show a variety of titles from its editorial archive with a stand that is different for being three sizes bigger than compared to last year's, putting at the disposal of the public the academic and literary editorial production of its university community.
Among this year's editorial presentations, there is the book "A la salud del incurable. Homenaje a David Huerta" (poet whose Excellence Award for the Letters José Emilio Pacheco, was recently granted in the Filey, 2018), coordinated by Carlos Ulises Mata & Fernando Fernández; "Hacer ciudad, hacer ciencia", a book of essays coordinated by Dr. Teresita de Jesús Rendón Huerta; Two titles of the Crocodile Collection: "Sortilegios del viento" by Dr. Inés Ferrero Cándenas & "Otra isla de pájaros" by Dr. Benjamín Valdivia; "Problemas del desarrollo" by Dr. Claudia Gómez, Dr. Alejandro Mosiño & Dr. Manuel Gómez; the launch of the editorial "Manuel Plowes: un científico mexicano del siglo XIX" by Dr. Esteban Hernández Gutiérrez.
From Campus León, the editorial work will be present through the books of "Cultura" and "patrimonio" by Dr. Carlota Meneses and "Estudios del abordaje multidisciplinario del arte" by Dr. Tarik Torres, Dr. Guadalupe de la Cruz, Dr. Alejandro Martínez & Dr. Antonio Sustaita; "Música y fiesta en Guanajuato. Notas sobre la vida cotidiana en dos ciudades del Bajío porfiriano", winning work of the National Research Award "Fórum Cultural Guanajuato", 2016 by Dr. Alejandro Mercado.
Another two titles that sum next week's editorial presentations are: "Manual de enfermería" edited by Trillas & "Fichas de actividades de experimentación para niños en edad preescolar", co-edited book between the Benemérita Centenaria Escuela Normal Oficial Superior de Guanajuato and the University of Guanajuato.
In this manner, "the institutional commitment with education and diffusion of culture", expressed by UG's President, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino during the launch of the Program of Reading Encouragement, is patented in the region for ten days to celebrate books and reading.
