Yuriria, Gto. May 9, 2018.- To increase the scientific capacity of south part of the state, the University of Guanajuato (UG) opened a new doctorate in Engineering Sciences, which will be taught in Yuriria, in the Department of Multidisciplinary Studies of the Division of Engineering of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca.
This program has the objective to form high level researchers capable of generating new knowledge in any of their two lines of research: electronics and intelligent systems, or applied optics and optoelectronic materials.
The new program of the Department of Multidisciplinary Studies is directed to graduates and postgraduates from engineering in electronic, computing systems, informatics, industrial, technology management and related disciplines.
Whoever is interested in participating in the admission process to enter the semester August-December 2018, can download the admission slips in the website www.ugto.mx/admision from May 8 to 18.
The documents and thesis protocol must be handed in from May 21 to June 8. The research protocol must be endorsed by the program's coordinator before the committee of enrollment and permanence.
The admission exam and interviews of the applicants will be from June 11 to 22. On June 30, they'll publish the details and on August 6, the classes will begin in the venue located in Avenida Universidad SN, Yacatitas in the city of Yuriria, Guanajuato.
For the students who are accepted, an economic support will be granted (pending approval) so they can dedicate full time in the studies, plus they will have the accompaniment of professors that are national researchers, who contribute to the academic strength of the Division of Engineering.
This doctorate lasts 48 months and there will be an additional 6 months to conclude the formalities to obtain the degree.
