Guanajuato, Gto., June 5, 2018.- The Oral Litigation Team of the University of Guanajuato (UG) is an emblem project of this house of studies and a sample of the educational quality of the institution, said the President, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, to meet with those who integrate.

After the team won first place in the national mediation phase of the fourth national contest of Oral trial and preliminary hearings, which took place in the city of Tijuana, were received by Dr. Guerrero Agripino, to whom they exposed how was their experience in the contest, as well as the following challenges that will come.

On behalf of the university community, the President of UG expressed his appreciation and admiration to the members of the team, and reiterated that they have all the institutional support of their house of studies.

On the other hand, the team advisor, Mtro. Juan Carlos Páramo, thanked the support of the university authorities and academics of the Division of Law, Politics and Government of the institution.

In the competition organized by the California Western School of law through "ACCESO Capacitación" and the Center for Studies on the Teaching and Learning of Law there was an initial participation of 340 teams of public and private universities, of which Around 60 are from the state of Guanajuato.

In this regard, the President of the UG said that it is a great experience for those who integrate the team, because it implies having legal knowledge, but also ability to work under pressure.

Therefore, he highlighted the talent and capacity of the team, the academic training they have and the leadership of M. Paramo, "Factors that are aligned for this to happen", and that allow to put in high the UG and the state of Guanajuato.

During the meeting with Dr. Guerrero, the students explained that on June 25 they will participate in another competition at the University of Washington, to be chaired by three judges of the United States court.

In addition, prior to the competition, members of the UG Litigation team will have the opportunity to participate in an academic stay with U.S. experts, prosecutors and judges.
