Guanajuato, Gto., June 1, 2018.- The University of Guanajuato (UG) published "Current Issues of criminal law", a text that brings together unpublished works of the student community and the faculty of the Division of Law, Politics and government (DDPG) of the university.
The book collects 17 investigations of those who responded to a call issued by the DDPG to present unpublished texts in the field of criminal sciences, as explained in the introduction the Academic Secretary of the Division, Dr. Ricardo Rodríguez Luna.
The priority objectives of this initiative were to promote research among students, to encourage the joint work between the teachers and the students of the division, to generate diffusion spaces in the penal field and to promote the various modalities of grading that exist in the DDPG.
The work has as a thematic axis the criminal justice system, and represent efforts and achievements shared by professors and students of the DDPG, which were coordinated by Dr. Ricardo Rodríguez Luna and the Director of the Division, Dr. Eduardo Pérez Alonso.
In the foreword, Dr. Eduardo Pérez Alonso, highlighted that the book attests to university talent in scientific research in the field of criminal Sciences.
It also explains that it is a compilation of articles profiled towards an optical state punitive law.
This legal anthology involves those who have intellectual concerns about criminal law and the validity of rights. Issues are addressed as obstacles in the new criminal justice system; The rights of scientific communities to administer their own justice; The prison abolitionism; Human rights violations in pre-trial detention; Reparation of the damage in the penal system, and challenges of the privatization of the penitentiary system in Mexico, among others.
