Celaya, Gto., June 6, 2018.- As a result of their participation in the International BS Skills Championship, students of the in Administration degree of Campus Celaya-Salvatierra of the University of Guanajuato (UG), obtained second place in the summon launched by this company, where the test consisted in developing and implementing virtually a business strategy that proved its viability and chances of success.

Students from Spanish-speaking universities, public and private, competed to obtain the best economic results in an online business simulation. As part of the competition, they showed their qualities, skills and knowledge in the field of international business.

Professor Alejandro Charbel Cárdenas León served as mentor to the students of the Campus during the competition that took place from April 9 to May 7, 2018, where second place winners were the students of the 7th semester Janet Hernandez Patiño and Antonio de Jesús González Cuéllar.

In designing the strategy, both students considered all the factors that are relevant to the management of an organization, such as: resource management and application, human capital management, production, procurement, financing, sales, management of Inventories, implementation of short-and long-term strategies, among others.

The participants competed with each other and not against the system, and at each stage of the integration process the decisions they made were evaluated.

This time they were faced with similar national universities such as the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and the Universidad de Guadalajara, as well as universities in Latin America. In achieving second place, Janet Hernandez and Jesús González obtained a trophy and use the license to use the business simulator designed by this company, which includes free counseling and support, as well as initial online training for the Technical understanding of the platform.

The business simulator is a technological learning method where students have the opportunity to replicate the interaction of the different administrative areas of an organization.

By entering your business strategy data, participants experience real-life situations, making wise decisions and learning from the wrong decisions.

The successful students met with the rector of the Campus, Dr. Graciela Ma. Of the light Ruiz Aguilar, with whom they talked about the experience and the satisfaction with the achieved achievement. The Rector was satisfied, with no doubt the results speak of the academic quality of the students, she said to congratulate them for this achievement.
