Celaya, Gto., June 11, 2018.- In a solemn ceremony, Dr. Nicolás Padilla Raygoza, a member of the Mexican Academy of Pediatrics (AMP), and a scholar at the University of Guanajuato (UG), Campus Celaya-Salvatierra, received the "Venera" that distinguishes them as an honorable member of such organization.
Being part of the AMP provides the honorable opportunity to serve the society and bring them all the research products we do, affirmed Dr. Padilla while talking about the meaning of receiving the medal from this organization.
About the social contribution that is made as a member of this collective of pediatrics of renowned trajectory, he explains that AMP is the highest schooled body in this discipline with the purpose to study and help solve all the children's medical problems in Mexico, as well as be an influence in the design of teaching models and diffusion of pediatrics.
Dr. Padilla belongs to the Altiplano Chapter, that groups representatives from Guanajuato, Zacatecas, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí and Aguascalientes; he is the only pediatrician from Celaya who belongs to the AMP; this is a great challenge for him because receiving this distinction forces him to continue working to contribute to have a protected childhood in all ways, even legally.
Dr. Padilla currently works with his peers in promoting a gender identity program and explains that, to continue belonging to the academy, the research work, the teaching and the contribution to the community, must be continuous and significant.
In the country, as a collegiate organ and member-advisor of the Health Department, the AMP also promotes initiatives before the decisive organs of the government, so they don't criminalize the medical acts and protect the exercise of the profession.
Member of the AMP since 1998, Dr. Nicolás Padilla Raygoza is a renowned college professor, creator of vanguard research, creator of several generations of graduates from this university, renowned by the scientific community as an active generator of knowledge and promoter of the care of Mexican childhood.
"Honor and Glory to the academy and the scholars", was heard in the auditorium of the School of Medicine of Campus León of the University of Guanajuato, where Dr. Padilla received the "Venera" that distinguishes him as a venerable member of the pediatrician society of the country.
