Guanajuato, Gto., June 29, 2018.- The professor of the Division of Natural and Exact Sciences of the University of Guanajuato (UG) and Ph.D. candidate in Administrative Sciences at the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes and the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena, Spain, Francisco Javier Álvarez Torres obtained an award as the best talk in the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL) in the 4th International Congress of Faculties and Business Schools.
At the event, next to his advisor for his doctoral thesis, Dr. Gabriela Citlalli López Torres of the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes (UAA); they both received a recognition for having obtained the award as "The best talk" in the work table "Entrepreneurship".
The work that they presented was "El análisis de la orientación emprendedora por medio de ecuaciones estructurales en las pequeñas y medianas empresas guanajuatenses del sector cuero-calzado". The latter was made in the 4th International Congress of Business Schools and the 2nd Colloquium of Young Researchers "Business strategies in uncertain ambiences". The methodology of the structural equations for partial least squares (PLS) is an area of innovation in searching relationships between variables of the complex world of management.
Such events were organized by the Faculty of Public Accounting and Administration of UANL with the purpose to encourage the exchange of experiences, strengthen the lines of knowledge generation regarding the administrative and financial processes, the international businesses, the social and technological innovation, the growth and development of small and medium companies (MIPyMES) and the new perspectives of business entrepreneurship.
Students and professors from institutions such as the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and UANL, just to mention some, participated in the competition.
