Guanajuato, Gto., June 28, 2018.- For seven years now, the University of Guanajuato (UG) edits the Mexican Magazine of Political Analysis and Public Administration (REMAP), which is currently recognized in ten academic indexes and has an important participation of foreign researchers, who contribute the 85% of the texts.

The magazine is oriented to place the research made in these areas of knowledge, and it came as an initiative from Dr. Fernando Barrientos del Monte, professor of the Department of Political Studies, and Dr. Fernando Patrón Sánchez, of the Department of Public Managements of the Division of Law, Politics and Government of Campus Guanajuato, who are the editor and director respectively.

REMAP is an arbitrated magazine, it means, it submits articles to be reviewed by experts in the subject they're discussing about, where not only researchers from UG participate, but from different parts of the world. In fact, 85% of the collaborations are from researchers of European, Latin American and American universities, as well as from other national universities, explained Dr. Fernando Patrón.

The scholar highlighted that they also have an Editorial Committee and an International Advisor Council, formed by two renowned professors of several universities of Mexico and other parts of the world.

REMAP is available in print and digital version, both are semiannual. The online version is in the Open Journal Systems, and you can check them at www.remap.ugto.mx This place has open access, available for all the public and you can download for free all the collaborations and magazine articles.

Dr. Patrón Sánchez mentioned that the printed version can be acquired at the Department of Public Management and in the Department of Political Studies of UG and revealed that in the future it can be acquired in UG's Bookstore.

Referring to the impact of this magazine, the scholar mentioned that this kind of magazines constitute an effort to consolidate what a university does, and at the same time allows UG to receive the research done in other places, so they position both political science as public administration in the own institution.

In a general manner, he mentioned that REMAP addresses topics related with the government, public policies, institutions and international politics. Likewise, expose that the objective is to maintain it within the international standards and that a national level becomes one more reference in research.

To finalize, UG's scholar and REMAP's Director, made an invitation to collaborate in the July-December 2018 edition. The invitation is about biopolitics, safety and government in the management of cities and territories.
