León, Gto., July 4, 2018.- Researcher-professors of Campus León of the University of Guanajuato (UG) and representatives of the National Chamber of the Transformation Industry (Canacintra) held a meeting to begin a collaboration with the objective to participate in creating the "Center of Business Intelligence and Innovation of Canacintra León".
With this project, they seek "to generate an articulation node between the specific needs that the industry may have in its different sectors in all Bajío with different solutions which may be available or may be in development from all the academic community" to create value for the industry, promote research and innovation.
They want to sum efforts with research centers, as well as with higher education level institutions either private or public, where we can find University of Guanajuato, Universidad Iberoamericana, Tecnológico de Monterrey, Universidad de la Salle, Universidad Autónoma de México (UNAM), among others.
Enrique Marumoto Torres, an specialist advisor in topics of innovation, Edgar Valdés Huerta and America Irene López Lozano both technical coordinators of the Center of Business Intelligence and Innovation of Canacintra León gathered in the Division of Sciences and Engineering of Campus León to know the research lines, installations and equipment the laboratory of Biomagnetism and Magneto biology has, as well as the Ultrasound Laboratory, Laboratory of Medical Applications of the Bioelectric Impedance and the Biomedical Engineering Laboratory.
M. Angélica Hernández Rayas, Dr. Francisco Miguel Vargas Luna and Dr. Arturo González were responsible to provide information to the representatives of Canacintra about the projects the academics and students work in, same as the contributions that can be made in different sectors to cover the industry and social needs, as well as the collaboration made in national and international research centers.
During this meeting, the highlight was the importance of making liaison activities in which they favor the progress of the country and allows to strengthen the triple helix of the development: academy-companies-government, with pillars based on education and innovation.
Enrique Marumoto Torres mentioned that this project is the incubation stage, so they are making liaison activities "to know the installed capacities within the different institutions; we are developing a diagnosis of the capabilities of innovation of the industry, how they currently are, what level of maturity they have and start from there to establish the model of operation."
Lastly, he mentioned that the "Center of Business Intelligence and Innovation of Canacintra León" wants to be inclusive, since there will not only be benefits for who is affiliated to the chamber, but for all the industry and for the students and educational institutions of Aguascalientes, Querétaro, and metropolitan zones of the state of Guanajuato.
