Irapuato, Gto., July 7, 2018.- The doctorate in biosciences of the University of Guanajuato (UG) is in the process of evaluation by the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT) seeking to endorse its registration in the National Register of Quality postgraduate and thus contribute to the formation of High-level human capital.
It is the first doctorate program of the Division of Life Sciences that since its creation in the year 2014, was registered in the National Register of Quality postgraduate programs as a recently created program.
In the call for renewal 2018 of Conacyt, the PhD in Bioscience was registered for evaluation and accreditation, said the coordinator of postgraduate, Dr. María Cristina del Rincón Castro, who stressed that this program has 48 students, from which 9 graduate next July 30, becoming the first generation of doctors in Bioscience Campus Irapuato-Salamanca.
Prior to the interview with the evaluators in Mexico City, the program coordinator made a pre-registration online, providing information related to the productivity of the program that has an academic nucleus of 21 professors of Solid training and high scientific productivity.
The PhD in Biosciences that is offered at UG's venue Irapuato is an annual income program, every August, and one of the advantages of having recognition as a quality program, is the possibility of managing scholarships for the students who comply with the Admission process and are accepted.
At the same university venue there is also a master's degree in Bioscience, whose graduates have the option of acquiring greater scientific capacities if they choose to continue with doctoral studies.
It is worth mentioning that the national development Plan has for the educational field to make scientific, technological and innovation pillars for sustainable economic and social progress. One way to reach this goal is by promoting the quality of training given by postgraduate programmes.
