Guanajuato, Gto., August 1, 2018.-  With a high social commitment and humanist sense, the University of Guanajuato (UG) signed an agreement with the System for Family's Integral Development (DIF) of the state of Guanajuato with the purpose to sum actions in pro of the care, defense and protection of children and adolescents.

To formalize the agreement, they gathered with the President of the University of Guanajuato, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino; the President of the Patronage and Volunteers for DIF from the state of Guanajuato, Mrs. María Eugenia Carreño de Márquez and the responsible of the office of the General Direction of DIF Guanajuato, Architect Fabián Rolando García Márquez; who emphasized in the importance of creating a collaboration network that contributes to the wellbeing and development of the country's children and adolescents.

With this agreement, they pretend to intensify the attention at the Care Center for Children and Adolescents (CIANNA for its acronym in Spanish) in Guanajuato.

On the matter, UG's President assured that the educational institution he represents already has a close collaborative relationship with DIF and now, it strengthens by signing the agreement that will help build a worthy and happy childhood.

Dr. Guerrero Agripino indicated that the University of Guanajuato will collaborate with different instances such as the organized student groups "Mentores UG", "Altruismo UG" and "Espiral", a cultural festival that will extend its events throughout the year.

They will also have the participation of the groups of the Direction of Cultural Extension, which will give artistic formation courses and workshops. In addition, they'll collaborate with the program "Encouragement to Read" from the Department of Spanish Letters and will also contribute with the program "Conciudadanía UG" with activities that promote a culture of legality, artistic appreciation, development of the creativity and approximation to science.

The President of the Patronage and Volunteer of DIF of the state of Guanajuato, Mrs. María Eugenia Carreño de Márquez thanked the collaboration and the commitment of the University of Guanajuato and highlighted that the childhood is an important stage for the development of the human being, reason why gathering efforts between institutions can contribute to form life projects for future solid and strong citizens.
