Science Clubs Mexico is a science program of free and intensive courses, with practical activities of immersion to scientific research, aimed for high school and college students.

These clubs are designed to become a comprehensive learning experience and focus on the latest technology and science topics, not only in the theory, but with experiments, demonstrations and creating prototypes or devices created to solve problems.

This year, the workshops were held in three dates: From July 15 to 21 in Guadalajara; from July 29 to August 4 in Ensenada, Guanajuato, Monterrey, Mérida, Chihuahua and La Paz; and ended from August 5 to 11 in Oaxaca and Xalapa.

Rodolfo Ferro, a student of the degree in Mathematics in the University of Guanajuato, who is part of the organizing committee, reminded that the Science Clubs Mexico started activities in 2014, and since then, they had gathered more venues, today they have nine country wide.

For the 2018 edition, he explained, six clubs came to the venue Guanajuato, given by workshops instructors from universities of United States and Mexico for free.

Among the workshops and content of this edition, they addressed topics about biochemistry, computer simulations in bioinformatics, they worked with genes, in neuroscience they addressed both the circuits and nervous system, and the behavior with species such as mice.

There were also artificial intelligence workshops that specifically addressed topics of machine learning to classify and abstract math clubs, so this was considered a vast edition.

The presentation of the projects from the six clubs that were developed in the venue Guanajuato, was held in the auditorium of UG's Campus Guanajuato.
