Guanajuato, Gto., August 7, 2018.- For its outstanding trajectory, Carolina Herrera, Rodolfo Ferro and Ricardo Mirón, three students of the University of Guanajuato (UG), received the 2018 State Youth Prize, granted by the state government through the Institute of the Youth of Guanajuato.

In the category of Artistic Expressions, the prize was given to Carolina Herrera Reyes, a student of the degree in Singing, while in Academy and Technology the prize was for Ricardo Mirón Torres, who recently graduated from the degree in Administrative Information Systems, and Rodolfo Ferro Pérez, Student of the degree in Mathematics.

On the matter, Ricardo Mirón expressed his gratitude to the University of Guanajuato for the opportunities that the student community offers, and exhorted other young students to be participant and perseverant.

With the Future Lab project, the student's technology laboratory seeks to accelerate the solution of problems using science and its applications, which is developed with Rodolfo Ferro, has had multiple awards; however, he mentioned that the state youth prize is special because he just graduated from college and somehow validates the effort done during his time in the institution.

Rodolfo Ferro mentioned that this prize is the result of effort and work, but also the opportunities that UG offers, so he invited the youth to ask what they are doing to reach the future they want and contribute to propitiate the changes they want.

Carolina Herrera, aware of the competition there in her area, she considered that discipline is fundamental to reach her gorals, in addition to take risks.

The State Youth Prize is given to youth who lives in Guanajuato between 18 and 29 years old with outstanding trajectories, that constitute and example to follow for other young students.

Besides the mentioned categories, the prize was given to the young students who have outstood in Environment Protection, Social Commitment, Disability and Integration and Entrepreneur Wit.

The state governor, Lic. Miguel Márquez Márquez was present at the ceremony, he congratulated the winners and exhorted them to set limits, because the message of this prize is that it is possible to reach the goals and there is supporting to do so.

In the same sense, the Director of the Institute of Youth of Guanajuato, Jorge Alberto Romero Vázquez, expressed his recognition to who received this prize, a result of their enthusiasm, commitment and dedication.
