inaugura-ug-espacios-en-el-campus-irapuato-salamanca-ugtoGuanajuato, Gto., August 8, 2018.- The community of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca of the University of Guanajuato benefited with the opening of a clinic of small species, a Bromatology laboratory in the Division of Life Sciences (DICIVA), an incinerator, a dog pound, a porch, a multiple use classroom, as well as a cafeteria.

A total investment of 33.65 million pesos concluded these spaces that will be at the service of all the university community. The President of the University of Guanajuato, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, acknowledged the teamwork done everyday by who are part of the university with the intention to strengthen the academic work that he defined as the pillar to negotiate resources and thus, to construct better facilities.

Por su parte el Rector del Campus Irapuato-Salamanca, Dr. Armando Gallegos Muñoz mencionó que la funcionalidad de estos nuevos espacios permitirá un deseable desarrollo académico de los 1976 estudiantes que comprenden dicho Campus, de los cuales 254 son de nuevo ingreso.

The rector of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca, Dr. Armando Gallegos Muñoz mentioned that the functionality of these new spaces will allow a desirable academic development of the 1976 students that compose such campus, from those, 254 are new enrollments.

The Director of Infrastructure and University Services, M. Eloy Juárez Sandoval explained that these constructions will favor 9 bachelor's degrees: Agribusiness, Agronomic Engineering, Food Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Nursing and Midwifery, Agricultural Mechanical Engineering, Veterinary medicine and Zootechny, as well as Renewable Energies Engineering.

It will also benefit the master's in Plant Vegetable Protection, in Protected Agriculture, Livestock Production, the Doctorate in Biosciences and the specialization in Nursing for Intensive Care.

Plus 268 professors and 88 people who work in the administrative area.

DICIVA's Director, Dr. José Mario Mendoza Carrillo thanked the university authorities for getting the resources and building the facilities that now reinforce the work of the university community.

To finalize, the student of the program of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechny, Rodrigo Adán Tapia Cervantes mentioned that with "the construction and habilitation of new spaces, proves that the University of Guanajuato works in the continuous improvement in favor of the students."
