Guanajuato, Gto., August 14, 2018.- With a 20 million pesos investment, the University of Guanajuato (UG) made the dignifying constructions at the high school León.
The President, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, reminded that inaugurating these spaces answers the execution of the comprehensive improvement plan to the facilities of UG's high schools, which began on November last year with the signing of a collaboration agreement between the University of Guanajuato and the State Government.
HS León, he mentioned, "is one of the most emblematic spaces of our university" because it represents 140 years of tradition, "it was one of the main contributions of UG to society" because it allowed people to access from basic to high education.
He acknowledged that besides the valuable contribution from the state government and the university's negotiation, they have summed graduates to this plan, so he thanked all who contributes with actions to benefit the university community.
M. Eloy Juárez Sandoval, Director of Infrastructure and University Services, explained that the two inaugurated buildings have: 14 classrooms, a languages library, a computing center, 2 sites, 2-bathroom modules, 2 stairways, 1 elevator, 3 exterior plazas, an electrical room.
The cafeteria and bathrooms were reconditioned, and the access to the school is in dignifying process, as well as the general rehabilitation of sewage.
Dr. J. Merced Rizo Carmona, Director of the High School College, highlighted that HS León is a seeder of great characters in the public life in the state and national areas. It is a school "that is a pride for the city of León and for our University of Guanajuato", so it deserves all the efforts, so its community has the optimal conditions that ease their comprehensive formation.
M. Dalila Abella Camarena García, Director of HS León, thanked these spaces that will benefit a community in a community of approximately 2,500 students.
In his message, M. Antonio González Arroyo, Coordinator of the Graduates with Identity Program, invite who has passed through the university's classrooms to continue summing to the realization of projects that benefit the new generation of students.
