Guanajuato, Gto. August 20, 2018.- Two teams of the University of Guanajuato obtained the first places in the "Guanajoven Space" in the categories of social impulse and young impulse, both in the "Hackathon" agenda.
The event was made with the objective to generate a technological, entrepreneur and youth space with the participation of youth from different cities from high schools and colleges of Guanajuato.
Members of the team "Guanajuato Skills" created the winning project of the first place in the social impulse category called "Stick Art", its objective is to divulge and give bran positioning of the projects of the people from 10 to 25 years old who are interested in urban art in the state of Guanajuato through a digital platform that provides information about the origin of their projects and commercialize products with the generated designs, encouraging entrepreneurship and cultural tourism of the state of Guanajuato.
This team was composed by the students: Edgar Daniel Plascencia Arellano & Beatriz Álvarez Granados, students at the fifth semester in International Trade; and Karla Fernanda Camacho from the seventh semester of the same degree at Campus Guanajuato; as well as Abraham Bautista, a student of the fifth semester in Biochemistry and Alexandro Gómez Tenorio, a student of the third semester of Mechatronics at the Instituto Tecnológico de Celaya.
The students Erick Emmanuel Martínez Gracia and Hugo Antonio Segoviano Martínez, both from the degree in Systems Engineering of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca developed the project "Ergo Bot" winner of the first place in the category of young impulse of the "Hackathon."
This project is about a personal assistant who helps find information about government supports, events, scholarships and programs the government has for the youth in Guanajuato. The idea is to be able to synthetize all the information of the government websites with this objective and present it to the youth in a simple and fast way.
Plus, it revolutionizes the way the youth obtain information about summons, events, among others since it allows to be very specific about the type of support or event you want to participate in and avoid all that summons in which you are not a candidate.
During this event, they sought to solve of the problems of the state through innovation, the creativity and planning of social projects, based in 4 different trends and in the 17 objectives of the sustainable development.
The experience focused in 3 agendas: "Hackathon", where you had to develop a technological solution focused to a problem or the transformation of the state's public policy; "Startup Camp", where they developed a project to implement one of UN's objectives according the 2030 agenda.
Finally, "Maker Space", where they sought to encourage learning and competence for the development of skills and interaction of youth in Guanajuato participating in robotics, 3D printing, drone flying and videogames.
