ug-dignifica-espacios-universitarios-con-apoyo-de-egresados-ugtoGuanajuato, Gto., August 20, 2018.- As a result of the collaborative effort between authorities of the University of Guanajuato (UG), government, and the support of the graduates of the House of Studies, works were inaugurated that benefit the Community of the Division of Life Sciences (DICIVA) and the High School (ENMS) of Irapuato.

With an investment of 6,17 million pesos, at the venue El Copal of the Campus Irapuato-Salamanca, was inaugurated an internal route, which connects with the main access to the DICIVA, work that was carried out with resources managed by Lic. Yulma Rocha Aguilar, federal deputy and graduated from the University of Guanajuato

During the event, the President of the University of Guanajuato (UG), Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, expressed his gratitude to the legislator for promoting the university spaces, and pointed out that her work is an example for the alumni. In addition, it was said that the community of the DICIVA will correspond to each work with academic quality, as it has done so far.

In the same vein, the Rector of the Irapuato-Salamanca Campus, Dr. Armando Gallegos Muñoz thanked those who made it possible to have this road, which allows the displacement and communication between the building of the DICIVA, the new cafeteria, the complex of Veterinary medicine and what in the future will be the laboratory complex.

Improve spaces in the ENMS

Subsequently, university authorities were in the ENMS of Irapuato, where four classrooms were built, sanitary modules were dignified and a perimeter band was built.

There, UG's President highlighted the importance of the high school subsystem of UG, and emphasized that these works are possible for a teamwork and the support of those who manage resources for the benefit of UG.

The director of the ENMS Irapuato, M. Raquel Castro Soriano, thanked the university authorities and congresswoman Yulma Rocha, a graduate of the ENMS Irapuato. She also said that the community of this campus corresponds with work, dedication and commitment to the support received.

The Director of Infrastructure and University Services, M. Eloy Juárez Sandoval said that these works are framed in the program of dignified spaces that began in August last year, after the governor of the state, Lic. Miguel Márquez Márquez, announced a support of 20 million pesos for infrastructure in the high schools.

He recalled that those 20 million pesos were added an equal amount, derived from UG's own resources. In addition, congresswoman Yulma Rocha negotiated resources for the infrastructure at HS Irapuato.

In both events was present the Director of the program graduates with identity, Mtro. Antonio González Arroyo, who spoke about the project "Súmate", through which the graduates of the UG are encouraged to continue supporting the growth of their alma mater.

At the inauguration of the works in El Copal were present the Secretary of Management and Development of the UG, Dr. Jorge Alberto Romero Hidalgo; The Academic Secretary of the Irapuato-Salamanca Campus, Dr. Martín Picó Núñez; The Director of the DICIVA, Dr. José Mario Mendoza Carrillo and representatives of the university community.

In the ENMS Irapuato were present authorities headed by the Director, M. Raquel Castro Soriano; academic staff, administrative and student community.
