Irapuato, Gto., August 22, 2018.- The artistic work of the university community came to the exhibition hall San José El Copal, with the collective samples of students from the University of Guanajuato (UG), which join the project "Welcome the culture" with the collections "ABSTRACCIÓN-ES" and "Microscopic photographs."
In the historic former Hacienda El Copal, is exhibited the work of students who take the subject of microscopy and microphotography, coordinated by Dr. Armando Obregón Herrera, research professor of the Division of Natural and Exact Sciences at Campus Guanajuato.
Regarding this exhibition, Dr. Obregón said that Nature offers daily a world of possibilities, "routinely you see a flower or an insect, but sharpen the senses through a lens, invites us to deepen its structure, its geometric shapes, their colors and the changes that occur. "
That has been the motive of the students of the Division of Natural Sciences and exact to investigate what is beyond what their eyes see, providing half a hundred amplified photographs of flowers, insects, crystals and cells in different shapes and colors.
Simultaneously, students of the painting Workshop of the Department of Visual Arts, by Maestro Carlos Cañedo Chavez of the Campus Guanajuato, contributed his collection of paintings "ABSTRACCIÓN-ES". Master Cañedo, after praising the recovery of spaces in the former Hacienda El Copal for the dissemination of culture and knowledge, explained that abstract painting can sometimes bewilder because it goes into a dream world, a world of imagination, another type of sensations and emotions. The challenge of the spectator is to be carried away by the shapes and colors to detect some concerning perceptual aspects of reality.
In turn, Lic. Miguel Mata Castro, coordinator of Knowledge Extension of the Direction of Cultural Extension, explained that the welcome culture program was created to welcome first-time students to the various university campuses.
Dr. Martín Picó Núñez, Academic Secretary of the Irapuato-Salamanca Campus, authorities of the Division of Life Sciences and members of the Cultural Committee, recognized the importance of the program "Welcome the Culture" that shared around 30 Activities in the different campuses, including music, dance, conferences, exhibitions and cinema.
