Guanajuato, Gto., August 30, 2018.- Representatives of the university community participated in a joint plenary session of the State Council for Consultation and Citizen Participation (CECPC), and the state Public Security Observatory of the state of Guanajuato (OCESP), where they shared projects focused to contribute to the solution of social problems.
The president of the University of Guanajuato (UG), Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino-as a member of the Council and the Observatory-spoke of "Conciudadanía", a comprehensive prevention program based on 4 axes: self-care culture, culture of legality, Artistic appreciation and interest in science.
He also commented that this program is developed in the Ecosystem of Linkage, Innovation, Development and Application of knowledge (VIDA UG) which articulates the interdisciplinary interaction through UG Innova Technopark, the Inter-institutional Center of Energy of the University of Guanajuato (CINERGIA UG) and the Civil Association of the University Center of Linkage with the environment (CUVEN).
It was emphasized that recently the University Center of connection with the environment of the Universidad de Guanajuato has led and developed three projects with the Government of the State and the municipality of León in matters of crime prevention, in which they have participated Academics and students of the institution.
In the joint plenary session between the CECPC and the OCESP, the Director of the Department of Political Studies and Government of the Guanajuato Campus, Dr. Carlos Román Cordourier Real, gave the conference "Citizen participation in public security policies".
Were present, by the UG, the Attorney General, M. Mauricio Alejandro Murillo de la Rosa; The Director of the Department of Law, Dr. Leandro Eduardo astrain Bañuelos; Dr. Jesús Martínez Patiño, coordinator of the ecosystem VIDA UG, and the General coordinator of the University Center of connection with the environment A.C., Lic. María Teresa González Téllez, in addition to postgraduate students in Penal law.
