September 4, 2018.- Miguel Ángel Martínez Castillo is a distinguished graduate of the Division of Engineering of the University of Guanajuato (UG) who collaborates in a Canadian company dedicated to the production of animated series and films.

M. Martínez, was invited by the student branch of the American Society of Optics to teach a conference and a workshop of animation techniques for television in the software most used in the industry, as part of the event called "Light, Art and Science 2018".

The guest was able to empathize with the students by projecting segments of the commercials, series and a film he made when he created his studio in the city of León, until he made the decision to grow professionally abroad, joining Atomic cartoons, in Vancouver, Canada.

In this company, where around 450 people work and a strict monitoring and control of the product is required, Miguel Ángel Martínez performs in the technical part, in pipeline engineering, in charge of organizing the animation productions to guarantee and automate all the processes using internal programs so that the animators, coordinators and producers have the work in time, in form and with the best quality possible.

"I am very proud to have studied here, because it gave me the discipline of work for the current job that I have," he said.

The graduate considered that this is an unbeatable time for the student community "because they have more job opportunities than before and, with the right scholarships, can continue abroad if they get and have a successful career."

"I'm still very proud of what I learned at this university," concluded the teacher, who studied electronics, but his taste for animation led him to this professional field that in recent years has grown in Mexico.

"Previously the companies did not have the confidence to invest, after these years I see that there is a greater confidence in the products that are made in Mexico, there is much animator who has returned from abroad to work and there are also studies that produce animation of A lot of quality, or 3d and 2d."

Miguel Ángel Martínez's visit inspired the student community to seek their professional development in activities that relate to their tastes and preferences.
