León, Gto., September 13, 2018.- For the second consecutive year undergraduate and postgraduate students from the University of Guanajuato participate in lectures on the dissemination of science directed to the students of HS León (ENMSL).

With the title of the "Youth to Young People" program, a six-talk cycle will be presented during the August-December period with the aim of arousing interest in science and technology, as well as bringing scientific knowledge to high school students.

In this regard, Dr. Isabel Delgadillo Cano, a professor-researcher of the Division of Sciences and Engineering of the León Campus, explained that this program is an initiative that emerged last year in which addresses topics of the different lines of research in which We work in the division, "to the attendees we speak with a simpler language, with topics that surely know or have heard and we do with people who speak a common language."

She added, together with Edgar Iván Preciado Govea, thesis holder of the degree in physics, they invited the students to participate in this program and share their experiences with students, in addition to showing part of the research done at UG.

Oscar Eduardo Moreno Palacios, graduate of the degree in physics was in charge of presenting the first talk titled "Building the scientific understanding of the universe" in which he made a tour of different stages of the story in which he mentioned contributions of scientists, their theories and the development of ideas that help explain what the universe is, what we are made of, the unknown that are to be solved and the way in which we can provide contributions for scientific development.

In an interview he expressed his satisfaction with the interest shown in the topic by the attendees and stressed the importance of this type of activities because they "have a great impact on the students".

The dates of the following talks will be on September 19 and 26, October 10 and 24 and by November 7 there will be a special collaboration by Rodolfo Ferro of the Center for Research in Mathematics, A. C. and the last date will be November 21 of the present year.
