Celaya, Gto. September 20, 2018.- Of the 39 professionals graduated from the University of Guanajuato who obtained a qualification of excellence in the General Examination of Undergraduate Degree (EGEL) carried out by the National Center of Evaluation for Higher Education (CENEVAL), 9 belong to Celaya-Salvatierra Campus, that is 23% of the total of the prizes awarded to the UG.

Creditors to the CENEVAL Award for performance of Excellence EGEL are: from the Division of Health Sciences and Engineering, Katia Alejandra Azúa Berrones and María Guadalupe Campos Gámez of the degree of Nursing and Obstetrics, as well as Diana Carolina Álvarez Vázquez, Theressa Selene Mota Muñoz and Itzel Alejandra Pérez Vega, of the degree in nutrition. From the Division of Social and Administrative Sciences obtained excellence: Jesús Mejía Martínez, Alan Adrián Ortiz Tovar and José Guadalupe Reyes Cervantes, of Administration, as well as Jordan Joshua García Velázquez, of Public Accountant.

In the period January-June, there were in the country a total of 1572 supporters who deserved the award CENEVAL to the Performance of excellence, of which were awarded 56 graduates who made their university studies in an institution of higher education in the state of Guanajuato, emphasizing that 39 of the winners belong to the University of Guanajuato, which represents 69.64% at the state level. Of the state percentage of students of excellence, 16.07% are graduates of the Celaya-Salvatierra Campus.

The award was instituted by the National Center for Higher Education Assessment (CENEVAL), and it recognizes the undergraduates who obtain outstanding results in the test. In this way, a culture of excellence is promoted among the graduates of the higher-level institutions in our country.

The award and recognition are given to those students with outstanding performance in all areas that make up the exam, if it is the first time they support the EGEL and have a maximum of one year of graduating from the degree.

The awards ceremony of the CENEVAL Award for the Performance of Excellence EGEL will have the Anahuac University of Queretaro as host institution and will be carried out on Friday September 28, 2018 in the Sports center of that institution. The award consists of a diploma and a medal, in addition to public recognition in a ceremony presided by authorities of the Secretariat of Public Education (SEP), the CENEVAL and the institution of higher education host.
