León, Gto., September 22, 2018.- The Campus León of the University of Guanajuato (UG) will teach from August 2019 the Masters in New Cultural management in Heritage and Art to contribute to the specialization in various areas of professional practice.
During the second meeting of the postgraduate employers of the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Campus León that took place at the Forum venue, the details about the master's that will last two years were announced, period during which the students will obtain competences and knowledge to propose from an interdisciplinary perspective projects and cultural initiatives, as well as to motivate changes in the models of management, to identify, to preserve and to disseminate the cultural heritage and art.
Culture and art, new cultural management, humanistic education and heritage, research methodology and elective subjects are the five formative axes that has the postgraduate program which is composed of sixteen learning units with a total of one hundred and eighteen credits.
It should be noted that this educational program was approved in the call for support of the National Program of Quality Postgraduate (PNPC) 2018 by the Secretariat of Innovation, Science and Higher Education (SICES) on April 16 with the project redesign Master in New Cultural management in heritage and art, which guarantees the formation of high-level human resources.
Dr. Diana Vanessa Ramírez, coordinator of the development of human Capital formation at SICES commented in an interview the importance of having the certification of the academic offer in which Provide quality teaching with specialist teaching staff.
She said that "it is important that the people who are trained in these areas have that part of the certification, the support in which the students have and are subject to help them be good managers, i.e. have a good specialization."
Dr. Carlota Laura Meneses Sánchez, technical manager of the program of redesign of the master's degree pointed out that the objective is "to professionalize the managers of the administration of the culture in different aspects, mainly in the area of the Methodology, evaluation, fundraising and cultural projects ".
She added that this postgraduate will be taught on Fridays from 16:00 to 20:00 hours and Saturdays from 9:00 to 14:00 hours, besides that there is the possibility of working binationally with the University of Nariño, Colombia so you can make academic stays for both students and teachers.
Finally, she indicated that the call for admission process will be published in April 2019 to be entered in August of the same year.
In this meeting of employers was also present, Dr. Alex Ricardo Caldera Ortega, Director of the Division of Social Sciences and humanities of the Campus León, interested in entering the postgraduate and responsible for cultural institutions.
