Guanajuato, Gto., October 3, 2018.- University authorities led the beginning of the 2018 reaccreditation of the program of the degree in law of the Campus Guanajuato of the University of Guanajuato (UG).

This process is through the National Council for the Accreditation of higher education in law CONFEDE, A.C., which concludes on Friday October 5th. For the students of this academic program, this will mean to receive a pertinent and updated education; and for UG, to update the degree of law to be in line with contemporary Challenges.

The accreditors were received by Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, President of the University of Guanajuato and by Dr. Teresita de Jesús Rendon Huerta Barrera, Rector of Campus Guanajuato; as well as the Director of the Division of Law, Politics and Government (DDPG), Dr. Eduardo Pérez Alonso and the director of the Department of Law, Dr. Leandro Eduardo Astrain Bañuelos.

Also, at the meeting were present, M. Jesús Arellano Gómez, Coordinator of the Law degree, Dr. Ricardo Rodríguez, Academic Secretary of the DDPG and professors-researchers of this Division.

Explained Dr. Pérez Alonso, who accreditors of the National Council for the Accreditation of higher Education in law CONFEDE, A.C., come to revise the series of indicators of the updating of the educational program, especially that is aligned to the reforms of the most important legal instruments, such as: human rights, orality, alternative mechanisms of conflict resolution, reform of the law of protection, indigenous law, customs law and labor law.

This accreditation reviews that are incorporated subjects, professors and activities for the students, he explained and; although it currently has the national accreditation and is being renewed for this new period, next year will be renewing the accreditation International by the National Association of faculties, Law schools, Departments of Law and Institute of Legal Research (ANFADE A.C.).

We are talking about the most important accrediting agencies in the country, the most serious and specialized in the field of legal science, who, among other aspects, review the balance in the number of full-time teachers who are engaged in the research, teaching and extension and also the part-time teachers who do the professional work, which in this case in the law degree has 70 teachers who are involved in the forum, in the judiciary, and ensure that students are permanently receiving practical knowledge.

This work concludes on Friday the fifth and will involve three very intense days for the three accreditors on behalf of the agency, who do interviews with professors, students, administrative staff, Employers and, of this, will be a diagnosis to attend to.
