Guanajuato, Gto., October 5, 2018.- The PhD in chemical engineering at the University of Guanajuato (UG) obtained recognition from the National Council for Science and Technology (Conacyt) and is now within the National Program of Quality Postgraduate (PNPC).

The coordinator of this postgraduate course in the Division of Natural and Exact sciences of the Guanajuato Campus of the University of Guanajuato, Dr. Jesús Isaac Minchaca Mojica mentioned: "we participated in the call for evaluation by the Conacyt, we spent all the Process and we had the fortune and the acknowledgment as a consolidated program of the PNPC ".

Dr. Minchaca Mojica stressed that this recognition is a guarantee of quality for the students, as well as the teaching staff of the postgraduate as it complies with a series of parameters that are evaluated by an external institution, "there are indicators by Part of the students and teachers; It also revises the infrastructure, the educational program and they have to comply with all these elements so that the doctorate enters in the PNPC ".

It should be noted that recognition of the quality of the postgraduate programs offered by higher education institutions and research centers is carried out through rigorous evaluation processes by academic peers and is given to programs that have fulfilled the highest standards of quality and relevance. therefore, the evaluation and follow-up processes are key components of the PNPC to offer students, academic institutions, productive sector and society in general, information and guarantee on the quality and significance of the recognized postgraduate degrees.

The coordinator of the PhD in chemical engineering spoke about the three academic bodies that make up the postgraduate course in which research and development of: science, environmental technology and materials; industrial process engineering; as well as design and numerical simulation of unitary processes are carried out.

In addition, he mentioned that this educational program has liaison with other universities and research centers both national and international as Aguascalientes, Coahuila, Yucatán, Michoacán, San Luis Potosí, and countries like the United states, Italy, Holland, Spain, Colombia and Japan.
