Salamanca, Gto., October 9, 2018.- The Division of Engineering of the University of Guanajuato (UG) showed visiting professors from several countries the research spaces with an emphasis on the energetic Area.
Thierry Decadt, of the University of Bordeaux (France); Brooks Jeffrey, University of Arizona (USA); Jesús Larralde Muro of the University of the State of California (EUA) and the ARQ. Luis Delgado, from the National University of Engineering (Peru), met an overview of the work that the full-time professors of the SALAMANCA headquarters develop.
In the Department of Electrical Engineering they visited the workshop and the laboratories that it houses, like the electrical circuits laboratory, the modeling and simulation of electrical systems, the laboratory of power electronics, the high voltage, the laboratory of control systems, energy efficiency, superconductivity and electrical power systems laboratory.
Previously, they met with the Academic Secretary of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca, Dr. Martín Picón Núñez; with the Academic Secretary of the Division, Dr. Rocío Alfonsina Lizárraga Morales and with Eng. Juan Pablo Sánchez Razo, Head of the Energy Saving program of the University of Guanajuato.
Dr. Picón Núñez made a general presentation of the Campus, its two divisions, its four headquarters, the educational programs that are imparted, the existing academic bodies and the lines of research in which they are focused, as well as the participation of professors in energy programs and projects.
It was also learned to visiting professors that at Salamanca headquarters houses the Center for Advanced Engineering in Energy, Performance and Thermo-economic costs (INVERCOST) that conducts advanced research and provides advice to companies in the Energy sector.
Likewise, they knew of the conformation of the Inter-Institutional Energy Center of the University of Guanajuato (CINERGIA UG), which in turn forms part of the Ecosystem VIDA UG, created to channel the projects where the science, technology, innovation and knowledge can impact favorably in the different sectors of society.
