
Guanajuato, Gto., October 15, 2018.- Academics, specialists and election officials analyze some of the most important sentences issued by the Superior Chamber of the electoral Tribunal of the Judiciary of the Federation (TEPJF) in the recent federal electoral process, as part of the seminar of analysis "relevant electoral judgments dictated during the 2017-2018 process".
This academic event is organized by the Department of Political and Government studies of the Division of Law, Politics and Government (DDPG) of Campus Guanajuato of the University of Guanajuato and state Electoral Tribunal of Guanajuato (TEEG).
It consists of three sessions, which are developed in the "Espacios Magnos" of the Marfil venue of the Guanajuato Campus, on October 4th, 11th and 18th, to which will attend, students of the degrees in political science and of law, lawyers, electoral officials, scientists, public servants, officials of the Electoral Institute and people interested in the matter.
The second session was attended by Judge Héctor René García Ruiz, president of TEEG, who served as moderator of the panel in which Dr. Vanessa Góngora Cervantes, professor of the Department of Political Studies, participated. The magistrate of the TEEG, Gerardo Rafael Arzola and the expert in constitutional electoral law, M. Iván Gómez García.
Explained Dr. Carlos Román Cordourier Real, Director of the Department of Political Studies and government, that in this academic meeting organized jointly with the TEEG, have proposed to review six electoral decisions that were relevant to the Process 2017-2018.
"They are sentences that will have legal and political implications, in the strengthening of democracy", he said, and this academic event allows to revise not only from a juridical perspective but political, those implications that will have the sentences and the Criteria that were used to resolve these cases.
He recalled that he has had the collaboration of advisors of the National Electoral Institute (INE), including counsellor Pamela San Martín, who came to the first session, while next week Marco Antonio Baños will come.
In the same tenor, he revealed that this seminar was the initiative of the M. Rosa María Cano, specialist in electoral matters and who is teaching at the date in the division of law, politics and government.
The second session of this analysis seminar was also attended by the Secretary of the Electoral Room Guadalajara of the TEPJF, Dr. José Luis Ramírez Huanosto and M. Ma. Dolores López Loza, Judge of the TEEG, among others.
