Guanajuato, Gto., October 15, 2018.- With a time of 6 minutes, 52 seconds, 87 cents in the test of 2000 meters with obstacles, the high school student (ENMS) of Guanajuato, Arian Iveth Chia Hernandez broke the Mexican youth record in the final of the Youth Olympic Games held in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The great work carried out by the hand of his coach, Professor Cecilio Blancarte Godínez, also paid off by positioning herself as the best Latin American runner by taking place 11 of the competition above the competitor of Brazil.

Chia Hernández competed with 18 more athletes, representatives of major powers of this specialty such as Kenya and Ethiopia.

Her highly competitive capability led her to be part of the delegation that represented Mexico which was made up of 93 young people aged between 15 and 18 years.

It should be recalled that the UG pupil has vast experience in her area of competition, since in her trajectory has the double national championship in the test of 2000 meters with obstacles of the category juvenile.
