Guanajuato, Gto., October 16, 2018.- With the leadership of Vanessa Báez and organized groups of students, on October 11th was held the forum "Giving a Breath of Life" in the Campus León of the University of Guanajuato (UG).
Vanessa is an enthusiastic student of the seventh semester of the degree in nutrition that works in various activities for the benefit of the environment, sample of this is the forum that organized thanks to the sum of efforts of the 14 people who integrate the "Colmena Estudiantil" and the president of the university community for Health Promotion and Education (CUPEDS).
She indicated that this event exposed the importance of generating actions that positively influence the care of the environment, as well as highlighting the relationship with the right to health, production and consumption responsible for natural resources and respect for Human rights, aspects that are integrated into agenda 2030 adopted by the 193 member States of the United Nations, which demonstrate the 17 objectives of sustainable development and 169 goals.
In an interview, she said that "we can take action to have a more sustainable global society, founded on respect for nature and human rights, to be a more responsible society, committed by life and motivate participation to develop More favorable conditions for future generations "
She also explained that a talk was held that was attended by seventy people who were told about the effects of the loss of green areas, climate change and everyday practices that can be implemented to reduce the deterioration of the environment such as energy saving, material recycling. In addition to raising awareness on the subject, sixty plants and trees were given in adoption, among which were given orchids and rain of stars.
Finally, she commented that this forum was open to the university community and to the public, "we can all intervene, besides that there is the possibility of taking this forum to other spaces in which workshops of sustainable practices will be taught", she concluded.
