Guanajuato, Gto. October 20, 2018.- At 105 years of the birthday of Enrique Ruelas Espinosa and 65 years of the premiere of " Los Entremeses Cervantinos", predecessor of the International Festival Cervantino (FIC), it paid homage with the book "Historia del arte escénico a través de los siglos, épocas y edades II".
This event took place in the Hall of the University Council of the Universidad de Guanajuato (UG) where they converged ideas, thoughts and memories of those who participated in the elaboration of this book and those who met Enrique Ruelas.
The President of the UG, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino who was the author of the prologue and main promoter of this volume in collaboration with the Foundation Cervantista Enrique and Alicia Ruelas A. C., commented that this book was presented in the context of the birth of Ruelas, which left a great teaching that is not only in the creation of the hors d'oeuvres, but in the values and cultural contributions evident.
During this presentation he spoke of the social context in which Ruelas lived, from his birth during the Mexican Revolution and witnessed the post revolution during his adolescence. During this time art was not important because of the conditions of the country, so instilling it in the way that he achieved it was not easy.
The great challenge added, was to promote art in hard times and with few resources, but its struggle for culture, its effort, its love for art, and various virtuous complicities allowed the current artistic legacy that not only impacted in Guanajuato or Mexico but all over the world.
He finalized by expressing his recognition to Ruelas, as a former UG President, as a person from Guanajuato and as a member of the legal community, he asserted that, were it not for the deserters of law they wouldn't have great personalities such as Octavio Paz, García Márquez or Efraín Huerta, "welcome all deserters as long as it is to enlarge art and culture in Mexico", concluded Dr. Guerrero Agripino.
The President of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), Dr. Enrique Graude Wiechers said that at 65 tears that Ruelas began with the Cervantine Hors d'oeuvres and that people from Guanajuato have turned into an international tradition, with the presentation of these book, they invite people to relate more with art, because it allows to dream.
He tanked the author, Edgar Ceballos for his effort and dedication to comprehend and invite to understand the continental art, that wraps any spectator in history and the wandering steps of the universal theater.
Finally, the President of the Cervantine Foundation Enrique and Alicia A. C., Dr. Enrique Ruelas Barajas remembered that five years ago they presented the first volume of this book with the support from UNAM and this year, the presentation of the second volume was by the University of Guanajuato, promoted by its President, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, so he thanked all the guests and expressed his emotion by saying that his father would be proud that his two alma maters will host his legacy.
During the presentation of the book, they had the attending of the General Director of the International Cervantine Festival, Lic. Marcela Díez, who was the moderator; and the compiler of the book, Edgar Ceballos.
