Guanajuato, Gto., November 9, 2018.- The President of the University of Guanajuato (UG), Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino met with students who are characterized by their leadership, who they recognized for their commitment and talent, as well as for their participation in projects that seek to positively impact their environment.

Within the framework of the Leader's Camp UG 2018, university authorities held a meeting with representatives of executive boards and organized groups of the university, to whom they were recognized-in particular-by the work developed in the Dialogues for education, where they applied 107,000 surveys, surpassing a difficult goal, which was 103,000.

In this regard, the President De la UG recalled that, at the request of the federal government elected, headed by the next President of the Republic, Lic. Andrés Manuel López Obrador, public universities were assigned the task of applying 103,000 surveys with an educational theme, whose result It will serve as input to define the public policies of the following federal administration.

The goal was overcome thanks to the teamwork of the university community, highlighted Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, who thanked the effort of students, executives of the UG and collaborators of the different administrative areas.

In his message, he emphasized that being UG means commitment to the institution and society and shared with the students the importance of adding efforts, acting responsibly and taking risks to achieve the changes they want to see in their environment.

Previously, the Director of Student Development, Mtro. José Osvaldo Chávez Rodríguez said the challenge of the education dialogues was faced from the greatest strength of the university: his student community. The achievements that were obtained, he added, lead to reflection on how this enormous talent and potential that exists in UG can be exploited.

The meeting with the university leaders took place at the Mesón de San Antonio, as part of the activities of the Leader's Camp UG 2018 X100UG, an event that promotes the integration of young people from different educational programs.

To achieve this goal, for three days, teamwork and integration dynamics were carried out. Thus, they participate in yoga, meditation and emotional management workshops, among other topics; Sports activities, attend lectures related to university identity and social responsibility, and camp in the facilities of the ASPAUG Recreation Center.

To the meal with the university students attended, among other members of the management team, the Comptroller General, Mtra. Adriana de Santiago Álvarez; the Attorney General, Mtro. Mauricio Alejandro Murillo de la Rosa and the Director of Services and Information Technologies of the UG, Mtro. Guillermo Carrillo Gallardo.
