Silao, Gto., November 12, 2018.- In order to make the entity a national reference to bring Mexico to the shaping of a real knowledge society and the development of technology-based industry, students of the University of Guanajuato participate in the conformation of the Digital Agenda for the State of Guanajuato.

It is a government project of the state of Guanajuato, through the Department of Innovation, Science and Higher education, carried out by UG Innova Technopark within the framework of the Ecosystem of Liaison, Innovation, Development and Application of Knowledge (VIDA UG) in collaboration with the National Chamber of the Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology Industry (CANIETI).

Its general objective for the state of Guanajuato to have a Digital Agenda, is that allows it to identify a vocation with a focus on intelligent specialization and high positive externalities in its strategic sectors, with an impact for the society.

Dr. Jesús Martínez Patiño, coordinator of the Ecosystem VIDA UG, commented that it is an interdisciplinary effort and he thanked the will of the participants, because the technology can be very useful, but it does not work without the intervention of the human factor.

The project will involve 10 students from different disciplines of the University of Guanajuato, a student from the Universidad Tecnológica de León and another from the Universidad Iberoamericana de León.

The students associated with the project will make stays that allow to obtain results that influence the union and consolidation of the technology industry of the State's information and communications with a focus on the intelligent specialization of companies and professionals initially in the current strategic sectors.

It is important to note that the functions that are carried out through the life UG ecosystem in this project are: to coordinate the development of the project. Present the corresponding technical reports. Implement implementation mechanisms for project commitments. Manage and apply project resources.
