
Guanajuato, Gto., a 16 de noviembre de 2018.- From November 14 to 16 it was held on the Magnus Spaces of Campus Guanajuato of the University of Guanajuato (UG), the IV International Colloquium “Right to the human wellbeing, global ethics and education” and the Discussion Journeys “The Education in Mexico and in the countries with the best indicators and educational models”, organized by the Department of Education of the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities.
This encounter is within the 50th anniversary of the Department of Education (DEUG), as have been other events within the commemorative program, which considered activities throughout the year in four main axes: history, research project with the participation of full-time and part-time professors; trajectories and characters; analysis of the DEUGs doing and perspective of the education: scenarios, possibilities and challenges.
This way, the Discussion Journeys and the IV International Colloquium, are the closing events of this ambitious program, showing, exactly, the probable perspectives in the educational terrain, after the tour made with a reflective-historical character of the previous activities.
With this closure, they sought to the future, proposing probable scenarios, and from there the the topics of the journeys: “The education in Mexico and the countries with the best indicators and educational models”, together with the IV International Colloquium “Right to the human wellbeing, global ethics and education” that addressed a frontier topic such as the “Liaison between sciences and humanities for the human development. Possibilities and limits. Reflections from a transdisciplinary focus.”
At the opening ceremony of the encounters, representing Dr. Teresita de Jesús Rendón Huerta Barrera, Rector of Campus Guanajuato, Dr. Claudia Gutiérrez Padilla, Academic Secretary of the Campus.
Likewise, M. Alma Laura Montes Hernández, representing Dr. César Federico Macias Cervantes, Director of the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities; Dr. Mireya Martí Reyes, Director of the Department of Education; Dr. Abel Rubén Hernández Ulloa, Professor at the department and organizer of the International Colloquium and Dr. Elmys Escribano Hervis, master speaker from the Universidad de Matanzas, Cuba.
