Dolores Hidalgo, Gto., November 25, 2018.- As part of the activities of the program "The Universidad de Guanajuato in your community", it was inaugurated, in the facilities of the Northern Regional Delegation of Education, the artistic sample called "Civilized worlds, infuriated worlds", from the author Erasmo Ortiz Palacios, a graduate from this university, and currently a Intercultural Promoter of the Department of Education of Guanajuato, in the north zone of the state.

The work is comprised by the representation of real stories told by migrants of different ages and countries, such as El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua, when they went through the state of Guanajuato.

The artist considers that his artistic proposal "goes against the current social trend that seeks for individualism to triumph, we pretend to create awareness and rescue the sense of society, od collectivity, being one with the needs from others. Migration mainly seeks a better quality of life, but the cost is very high. Migrants are victims of abuse, they even die, to try and chase that dream, imposed many times."

Montserrat Bataller Sala, Regional Delegate of North Education, addressed the attendees and presented and reminded the importance of promoting art since childhood, "not only to support who has talent, but help develop to who has interest for it".

"Migration is a reality, we have here, really close, our region sends a lot of people to United States, so this is a topic that involves us and leads us to reflect" she mentioned.

This art show is the result of an interdisciplinary research between visual art, social sciences and oral history, articulated and founded through the life stories: exteriorized stories by the Central American migrant orally and graphically.

The event was attended by Dr. Felipe Macías Gloria, professor-researcher of the Research and Actions Center for the Social and Human Development of the Department of Law of the Division of Law, Politics and Government of the University of Guanajuato.

The program "The University of Guanajuato in your community", seeks that the social groups achieve a worthy life through concrete actions that give them hope.
