Guanajuato, Gto., November 23, 2018.- The works for the development of the Advanced State Network of Telecommunications for Research and Divulgation of Science and Technology of Guanajuato (REESATIC) were formally initiated.

Creating this Network derives from the Mixed Fund of Encouragement for Scientific Research and Technology Conacyt-State Government of Guanajuato granted to the University of Guanajuato (UG) destined for research and technological innovation.

At the event was exteriorized the general objective of the project REESATIC which considers the design and set in motion of an advanced network of telecommunications for the state of Guanajuato; it also seeks to strengthen the capabilities of collaboration in high-impact projects among high education institutions and the public research centers in the cities of León, Silao, Irapuato, Salamanca, Celaya and Guanajuato.

The Secretary of Management and Development, Dr. Jorge Alberto Romero Hidalgo spoke about the project's impact because thanks to the network they pretend to reduce the digital gap, they will also use the supercomputing centers, they'll use them for virtual education and health projects, so they will generate a liaison of the productive sector with the academy.

The Director of Information Services and Technologies of the University of Guanajuato, M. Guillermo Carrillo Gallardo mentioned that this project will implement an Advanced Network of Telecommunications for the state with 19 nodes and in addition, it means an innovation for the scientific and technological transformation of Guanajuato.

The University of Guanajuato will make some strategic alliances for the project's development with renowned institutions: The Department of Innovation, Science and Higher Education (SICES); the Ecosystem of Liaison, Innovation, Development and Application of Knowledge (VIDA UG); AGROBIOTEG, Innovation Park; Interinstitutional Center of Energy of the University of Guanajuato (CINERGIA UG); Superior Technological Institute of Irapuato (ITESI); LANGEBIO; CINVESTAV; Center of Applied Innovation in Competitive Technologies (CIATEC); Research Center in Mathematics (CIMAT); and with the Optics Research Center (CIO). **All acronyms are based on their Spanish meaning**

It is worthy to mention that this project pretends to interconnect via microwave between a central node and 16 nodes throughout the state, as well as the establishment of an Operations Center of the Advanced Network of Telecommunications (NOC).

It is important to mention that work tables were held to generate commitments and responsibilities in the management of the project.
